In this photograph I am demonstrating tracking.

This is the start position for the moro reflex.

This is one of the assessment tests. Checking for a dominant eye. In this picture I am showing a 'cross lateral' result (left hand and right eye).
Try This
Focus on an object on the other side of the room. Hold up your finger while closing one eye and hold the finger in front of the object. Switch eyes. The finger will move away from the object. If this is happening involuntarily while reading, then it is a nuisance as the words will move making reading very difficult.

If you have tried the 'Try this' above, you will have discovered the paralax effect of having two eyes in different places that see different objects. when these images merge properly (converge) we have 3D vision. If the eye dominance changes the image will move. This is not good if you are trying to read, as the words will jump. The treatment I offer will help the child establish eye dominance to stabilise the vision.
Other problems come when the eyes do not converge properly and there is no 3D vision. How can you catch a ball? I can show you how to help this happen.
